Nicholas Roux chairs the English Department at The Academy and also teaches philosophy and creative writing.

He attended Kenyon College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with concentrations in Creative Writing and Humane Studies, and served as a student associate for The Kenyon Review. Roux maintains that "Giving students the ability to not only think critically about literature, but also their own and others artistic work, is a great part of teaching at The Academy.
